RF Corval is excited to announce the acquisition of the Sherwood Hotel in Queenstown, a unique and community-focused retreat celebrated for its sustainability and local engagement.
Nestled between Queenstown’s vibrant CBD and Frankton, Sherwood has become a well-loved destination, known for its art-inspired design, organic gardens, and award-winning two-chef’s hat restaurant. Originally transformed by entrepreneur Adam Smith, Sherwood has thrived as a space for locals and visitors to gather, engage, and rejuvenate.
RF Corval’s vision for Sherwood aligns with our commitment to sustainability and enhancing community-focused spaces. The transition of ownership, led by Maria Verner, our Senior Investment Manager for Hotels, will preserve Sherwood’s beloved community aspects while initiating upgrades, starting with the guest rooms.
RF Corval has entered into a management agreement with EVT who will manage the hotel as part of its independent collection of hotels and resorts. The hotel will continue to be run by General Manager Hayley Scott, together with the restaurant and all hotel food and beverage being run by Chris Scott as Food and Beverage Director. Together, we aim to honour Sherwood’s legacy while enhancing its offerings, ensuring it remains a top choice for responsible and immersive travel.
We extend our appreciation to our investors, financiers, partners and advisors who have made this all possible.
