This NAIDOC Week, Corval proudly celebrated the rich cultures, histories and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through three meaningful initiatives held across our portfolio.

1. APY Art Center Collective

54 Waterloo Road, MACQUARIE PARK NSW & 1 Como Street, MALVERN VIC

In partnership with the APY Art Centre Collective (APYACC), we welcomed tenants, clients and partners to experiences that celebrated First Nations art, culture and storytelling. APYACC is a collective of First Nations-owned and governed art centres representing more than 600 artists across the APY Lands, with a mission to create culturally affirming employment opportunities, strengthen communities and support independent income through art. The Artworks showcased at both locations are part of the curated exhibition ‘50 Years Deadly’.

2. Traditional Smoking Ceremony

 Brisbane Technology Park, QLD

Corval was proud to host a traditional Aboriginal Smoking Ceremony at our properties in the Brisbane Technology Park precinct. Led by Indigenous cultural representatives, the ceremony provided an opportunity for tenants, partners and staff to come together in recognition of the enduring cultures, traditions and connection to Country of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The ceremony fostered a shared moment of reflection, respect and community, reinforcing Corval’s commitment to creating inclusive spaces that celebrate Australia’s rich First Nations heritage.

3. Indigenous Dance Performance

To celebrate NAIDOC Week alongside our tenants and valued partners at 60 King Street, Newcastle. Hosted in collaboration with Knight Frank, the event featured a traditional cultural dance performance that brought the community together to recognise and celebrate the rich history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Corval expands Industrial Infill Trust 2 with Brisbane acquisition

Corval has acquired a multi-tenanted industrial estate in Acacia Ridge, Queensland, alongside long-term Japanese capital partner Kanden Realty & Development Co. Ltd (KRD), further expanding the Industrial Infill Trust 2 portfolio.

The acquisition comprises four industrial buildings on a 32,350 sqm site with approximately 18,627 sqm of lettable area and is fully leased across a diversified tenant profile.

Located approximately 12 kilometres south of the Brisbane CBD, the property is positioned within one of South East Queensland’s most established industrial precincts and offers strong access to major transport networks.
The acquisition represents the fifth asset within Industrial Infill Trust 2, which now spans New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia and Queensland.

Corval Senior Industrial Fund Manager Michael Hua said the acquisition reflected continued conviction in Australia’s urban infill industrial sector.

“This acquisition represents another strong addition to the Industrial Infill Trust 2 portfolio and reflects our continued conviction in Australia’s urban infill industrial sector,” Mr Hua said.

“Acacia Ridge is one of Brisbane’s most strategically important industrial precincts, underpinned by strong transport connectivity, constrained supply and ongoing occupier demand.”

Corval is also progressing a sixth acquisition, currently in due diligence, which is expected to increase total Trust 2 assets to approximately $130 million. The Trust remains open to new wholesale investors as part of the ongoing capital raising process.

The acquisition is expected to settle in coming months, subject to customary conditions.

Corval has sold Workzone East to Castlerock for $79.388 million, with settlement expected in June 2026.

Corval acquired the A-grade office asset in January 2017 and has since undertaken a significant repositioning strategy focused on enhancing tenancy quality, sustainability performance and long-term asset value.

During Corval’s ownership, the building was transitioned from four separate tenants to a long-term lease with the Western Australian Government through to 2031, strengthening the asset’s income profile and covenant quality. At the time of sale, the property was fully leased to WA Government tenants including the Mental Health Commission WA and the Department of Primary Industry and Regional Development, with a weighted average lease expiry (WALE) by income of approximately six years.

Corval also implemented a range of sustainability initiatives throughout its ownership, including increasing the building’s NABERS Base Building Energy rating from 4.5 Stars to 6 Stars and achieving carbon neutral status.

Corval Chief Investment Officer Oliver Picone said the sale reflects the successful execution of Corval’s active asset management strategy.

“Since acquiring Workzone East, our focus has been on improving the quality, resilience and long-term value of the asset,” Mr Picone said. “This included strengthening the tenant profile, extending income security and materially enhancing the building’s sustainability credentials.”

The property was sold exclusively off-market by Cushman & Wakefield on behalf of Corval.
